About Us
Kona Impact firmly believes in the power of collaboration. We all have our main areas of expertise and spend a lot of time working independently, but it is the time we spend each day reviewing and improving projects, that ensures we are giving our clients the best possible product. Many media designers work alone and as a result projects only represent the vision and skills of an individual. At Kona Impact, we strive to make sure our projects represent the collaborative vision and skills of our team—a work flow that we believe creates better results.
The Kona Impact Team
Brian—Brian’s publishing and writing career started in 1993 when he published his first book. Over the years, he has written or co-written books and magazines with sales in the millions while holding academic positions in Japan. He has designed and managed websites since 1996. His other passions is video and photography. You'll often see him at the condo complexes on Alii Drive taking photos and making videos for the web for Kona Impact's real estate and vacation rental clients. He has M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration-E-business emphasis) and M.Ed.(Master of Education) degrees.
Cindy—Cindy brings to Kona Impact a wealth of experience in graphic design. You have probably seen Cindy’s work, because of the work she did as a graphic designer of apparel for Nike and Covee for nearly ten years. Versatility, a keen eye for detail, and an unfailing commitment to excellence shine through every project she does. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
Lucas—Lucas is a web designer extraordinaire. Comfortable with a variety of programming languages, Lucas excels at website projects that require a deep understanding of website development. By looking at the raw code of websites, Lucas is able to identify errors and implement solutions with relative ease. In addition to his work at Kona Impact, he runs Twig Boy Web.
Asako— Asako is in charge of all the Japanese-English translation work. A native of Japan and a lifelong learner of English, she has a passion for making sure her translations are accurate and comprehensive. She has been known to spend over an hour debating the correct translation for just one word! A perfectionist at heart, Asako is able to produce translations that are accurate and appropriative in tone. She has never found a picture of herself that she likes.
We are always looking for people who are passionate about producing digital media. If you live in the Kona area of the Big Island and are interested in joining us, please contact us
